Helping busy mompreneurs keep their sanity

Why not me?

You see it everywhere. Friends selling skincare, health products, jewelry or accessories on social media and in person. As of 2014 (2015 figures not available yet), there were 18.2 MILLION people involved in direct sales in the US. That was a 5.5% increase from 2013. (dsa.org)

Of course all of the sellers have you believe it has changed their life and they can accomplish all their dreams thanks to X opportunity. Is everyone being 100% truthful, probably not, BUT it does happen. There are people who are able to support their family with their Direct Sales business so why not me? What makes them so much better than me that they can be successful and I can’t? I have someone very close to me pretty much telling me this. My business won’t help me reach my dreams and it is just a time and money waste. I disagree!

The truth is I can! I know I can be successful. I just need to be consistent in working my business. Do you think the CEOs at fortune 500 companies work a few days here and there and expect to be successful? No. This is a business. People (including family) might not take you serious and say it’s just a hobby, but don’t let that get you down. Heck, maybe it is just a hobby for you. Not everyone sets out to have their life changed. Some people just want a night out, something fun that they can call their own.

Stay true to your dreams and keep working. It will pay off. Do something every day to further your business whether it be contacting a customer, reaching out to a host or taking time to expand your skill set.

If you need help staying motivated, I started a new Facebook group for people in direct sales. Feel free to join me at https://www.facebook.com/groups/582082948639710/.
